RCOBECA flood relief items were distributed to over 50 severely affected families who have lost all of their belongings in Namalagama village, off Biyagama on Saturday June 4th 2016.
RCOBECA coordinated the assistance to flood victims with the help of the Sri Lanka Army.
The donation of the following items were made possible with RCOBECAs’ fundraising & Sri Lanka Armys’ labor.
Each 50 gallon plastic container included:
• Cooking pots and pans – Aluminium
• Ceramic plates
• Ceramic tea set
• Thermos flask
• Cutlery
• Bedsheet
• Rice Cooker
• Tea strainer
• Coconut milk strainer
• Kettle
• Sarong
• Plastic cups
• Water pitcher
In addition, some families received a mattress, school bag, Electric Blender & other baby Items as required.
